Mohamed Shaheen Ebrahim is the executive Chairman and Chief Operations Officer of the Oasis Global Group of Companies. His expertise in business has been established over 40 years in diversified commercial enterprises.

 

Mohamed Shaheen is responsible for the management of the Group’s operations in multiple countries to ensure efficiencies and the implementation of global best practices across all operational functions. He is the executive responsible for the management and oversight of the organisations IT and business infrastructure and fund administration systems, which are managed in-house. He ensures that Oasis remains at the forefront of implementing best of breed technology and systems, to continually deliver excellence in administration to the firm’s clients, partners and stakeholders. He also fulfils a central role in the firm’s financial advisory function in both the United Kingdom and South Africa, to ensure that the Oasis funds are easily accessible to all retail investors.

 

With 23 years of leadership to the Group’s operational, technology and client servicing functions, his keen foresight has ensured that the organisation remains aligned to the dynamic needs of its clients. He holds a director’s qualification from the University of the Witwatersrand’s Graduate School of Business.

Nazeem Ebrahim is the Deputy Chairman and Chief Regulatory Officer of the Oasis Global Group of Companies.

 

In his role as Chief Regulatory Officer for the Group, he has led, negotiated, driven and overseen the implementation of a number of significant projects dealing with compliance, risk management where he worked with multiple regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.

 

Some notable projects include global corporate expansion, mergers, the re-domiciliation of funds, organisational restructuring, the setting up of global trusts, product development, fund administration structuring, mergers, licensing across all areas of the business and implementing system migration and enhancement projects across a number of business units that perform supportive functions to the multiple regulated entities operating in different jurisdictions. He is also closely involved with the reporting structures of the firm and manages complex relations and partnerships for each company within the organisation.

 

Nazeem is responsible for the delivery of ethical and socially responsible investment products through a sustainable, compliant and well-governed business in every region of operation. Within the United Kingdom, he remains updated on best practices within the regulatory environment and has ensured the successful implementation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II), The Data Protection Act, Retail Distribution Review (RDR) and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).

Nazeem holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree and a Baccalaureus Procurationis degree from the University of Cape Town. He is an admitted attorney in the High Court of South Africa with the right to represent parties in the High Court. With over 30 years of experience, his leadership in the areas of business controls, compliance, operational risks, capacity enhancement, project management has ensured the firm's global expansion and growth.

Adam Ismail Ebrahim is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the Oasis Group, a wealth management organisation he established in 1997. 

 

As the Chief Executive Officer, Adam is responsible for the strategic direction and operating agility of the firm, including its financial soundness, the development of new and improved business through strategic alliances and the delivery of simple and relevant product solutions.

 

With keen entrepreneurial acumen and a passionate and disciplined approach to investments, Adam’s leadership has established Oasis as a well-diversified and sustainable business in the regulated ethical investment space.  

 

Adam graduated with an honours degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town where he also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting. He is an admitted Chartered Accountant in South Africa and has also completed the CFA Institute’s Chartered Financial Analyst Programme.

 

Prior to establishing Oasis, Adam cultivated his experience through the time he spent working for Deloitte in South Africa and in London before assuming positions as an analyst, portfolio manager, director, and partner of a prominent asset management organisation. With over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, Adam’s skill and leadership have ensured that Oasis delivers real value to all its investors.
